This blog is my chronicling research, development and product testing. In the next few months I will be testing my soap and body products that I create and craft from my home.
I got started soaping out of curiosity. I've always wanted to be a crafter but I am really bad at crochet, knitting is another no go. I tried candle making in high school and that didn't go well either. And frankly I'm not all that outgoing. So pretty no go on meeting bunches of new people. But I do cook and I love it. And trust me if you can make a cake, you can make soap. If you CAN'T bake a cake but understand the process, you can make soap. I have been making soap for 9 months and my first recipe started with Crisco, olive oil, coconut oil, and palm oil.
I am a stay at home mom of two beautiful, precocious, wonderful children. A five year old boy and a 15 month old girl. I'm a transplant Southerner living in Metro Atlanta. I'm 26 years old and I would love to get started in my own business making lotions, potions and soaps. I think I will also be adding food because I love all things edible.
I currently have 33 cold-process soaps, 2 cream soaps, and quite a few messes and successes of both. In the next few weeks I am hoping to create solid bubble bath, bath bombs, scrubs and creams. I also hope to test kid friendly recipes and crafts.
